I wanted to keep it low-key this year, and just spend quality time with family and friends.
My wonderful Mum put on a small dinner for me on saturday night, for some close friends. It was a lovely evening, with good food, nice music, and lots of laughter and chatter.

as i'm writing this in the last hour of my birthday, i'd like to thank everyone who made the day so special!
